Many people are unaware that normal eye development can be assessed from infancy to ensure children are reaching visual milestones. Your child does not need to be qualified to read letters to have an eye test and much can be learned about vision and binocularity in a pediatric eye examination. Visual screening conducted through the preschool Steps program is a incredible service to isolate children who may have issues but it does not replace an examination. Good lighting, good spectacles and visual aids can often improve reading and plain tasks like managing financial accounts. Visual aids are prescribed behind an examination and ordered for best effect in combination with your existing spectacle prescription to achieve a cozy working distance. We encourage Cambodia Vision which is a not for profit organization which focuses on blindness prevention in rural Cambodia. We aid with fund raising and the donation of our redundant stock. All frames and spectacles are taken directly to the field by representatives of Cambodia Vision to ensure they reach people in need. Cambodia Vision aims to deliver 200 cataracts and 100 medical and optometric services each year.
